What We Did

Southwest Airlines partnered with Digital Events to fulfill a lengthy calendar of activations throughout the U.S. by providing onsite live laser engraved aluminum luggage tags. Most of the activations were high traffic events such as festivals which made it important to be able to process requests, produce finished product and distribute seamlessly in a matter of seconds while the guest was standing there. As fast as requests were submitted, we had to produce and distribute because there was no opportunity for guests to either queue up or come back later. With 4-6 lines of text, the average luggage tag was laser engraved in under 10 seconds utilizing our high speed industrial YAG laser. The same luggage tag would of taken 40-50 seconds on a CO2 laser which would of resulted in a significant backlog.
